Hon. Marina Corodemus (Ret.) is a highly experienced professional in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and a sought after special master by Federal and State Courts involving class actions, mass torts, environmental contamination, natural resource damages, products liability, consumer fraud and serious aggregate litigation. She brings over 10 years’ experience on the bench as New Jersey’s sole Mass Tort Judge.

Judge Corodemus was recently named Special Master (attorneys fees/common benefit fund) for IVC Litigation, Bard IVC Filter, MDL 2641 in Federal Court in Phoenix Arizona. She served as Special Master for dePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., ASR Hip Implant Products, MDL 2197 to oversee the appeals and fee disputes associated with the $2.7 billion settlement, and has also served as Special Master for American Medical Systems, Inc. Pelvic Repair Systems Product Liability Litigation, MDL 2325 and Vioxx: Products Liability Litigation, MDL 1657.

Widely respected in her field for her diligence, integrity and fair play, she was voted ‘Best Individual Mediator 2015’ in the National Law Journal and served as President of the Academy of Court Appointed Special Masters from 2014-2015. more

Judge Sebastian P. Lombardi (Ret.) recently retired as a New Jersey Superior Court judge sitting in Essex County. He sat in all divisions for 15 years with 10 years in the civil division. During his tenure in the civil division he served as the environmental and toxic tort judge, having all such cases assigned to him for case management and trial.

The largest case Judge Lombardi handled was “The Passaic River Litigation” (NJDEP v. Occidental el al) involving 307 parties. The DEP sued to recover past and future costs incurred by New Jersey for its responsibility to clean up the super fund site encompassing 17 miles of the Passaic River and the Newark Bay. After many years Judge Lombardi approved three separate settlements totaling over 335 million dollars and possible future costs to resolve the matter with the DEP, except for cross claims remaining among several direct defendants. more

Leah Healey has been practicing law since 1985 in the field of redevelopment and environmental law. Until 2008, Ms. Healey was a partner with the firm of Maraziti, Falcon & Healey located in Short Hills, New Jersey where her particular focus was representing public entities around the State in transactions involving the redevelopment of underutilized and contaminated properties and was a frequent speaker at state and national conferences.

In 1998, Ms. Healey was appointed by former Governor Whitman to the State Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force and is a former president of the Hudson River Waterfront Conservancy and a former Vice Chair of the Hoboken Waterfront Development Corporation.

Ms. Healey is currently working with Judge Corodemus on the Passaic River Natural Resource Damage case. more

Angela brings her extensive mass tort litigation experience to Corodemus & Corodemus as Of Counsel to the firm. She practiced for nearly two decades in the area of complex products liability mass tort litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device products. Angela has served as a Director in the litigation departments of some of the largest firms in the state, where she represented clients on both the state and national level. more
